Original Songs Recorded Include “Look At You Now,” “Still Remember” And “Here’s To You”
Not even the Prom, her upcoming high school graduation or a sunny day in Los Angeles, will keep KALM Talent Group’s Country singer/songwriter Lexi Ulmer away from her music!
Lexi has returned to the studio, guitar in hand, to record acoustic versions of new original songs including “Look At You Now,” “Still Remember” and “Here’s To You.”
As always, there is a unique personal tone and message to Lexi’s songs.
“The song "Look at You Now" is about my high school tennis coach who passed away of cancer a few months ago,” said Lexi. “It was very shocking news and I coped with it the only way I know how: writing songs.”
And write songs she does.

Indie/Pop/Folk Singer/Songwriter On Set For First Video From New EP “Caught Up In You”
Pop-folk-indie artist Katie Ekin is never far from her guitar or beloved dog Mowgli. That’s why she has them both close by as she shoots the music video for “Grown Up Fairytale” from her new EP “Caught Up In You.”
“Katie Ekin’s ability to transform personal life experiences into award-winning songs is so evident on her new EP ‘Caught Up In You,’” said KALM Talent Group Founder Kerry Kessel about the 21 year old talent who has won eight West Coast Songwriter awards to date. “The lyrics for ‘Grown Up Fairytale’ are so simple yet powerful and further demonstrate her cross-over appeal and marketability. It’s a contagious song. The music video is going to be so much fun.”
San Francisco Is "Caught Up In Katie" Following Standing Room Only CD Release At Hotel Utah
Pop-folk-indie artist Katie Ekin played songs from her new EP “Caught Up In You” to a standing room only crowd during her recent CD Release Party at the Hotel Utah in San Francisco. Now they are caught up in her!
“The crowd was super fun and the other performers were incredible!,” said Katie of the April 12, 2013 show that she described as FANTASTIC! “It was really cool because even though the crowd was loud and having a good time, every time I started to sing it got quiet. It was a really cool connection between performer and audience!” Katie, who signed with KALM Talent Group late last year, has released the first single and title track of “Caught Up In You.” The highly-anticipated song from the award-winning singer/songwriter, now live on kalmtalentagency.com, is also available for download on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify.
